  1. How can I get an appointment with Hamad Medical Corporation ?
    Please visit your Primary Healthcare Centre doctor first, who will decide if you need to see a specialist at Hamad Medical Corporation. If required then your doctor will generate a referral to the concerned department/ specialist at HMC. Once the referral has been generated, you will receive a call from the concerned specialty department clerk to provide you with an appointment date.

    Alternately you may visit earlier the registration counter of the concerned department/specialty at HMC and get the required information.

  2.  How can I get an appointment with the Child Development Center?
    This depends on the service that you wish to access in this site we have clarified the appointment requirement for each service, kindly find time to visit our specific services on this site.

  3. What do I have to do next, if I have a referral from a private provider to the Child Development Center, Ramallah Hospital?
    If the referral is on a hard copy then Please visit the registration desk at the Child Development Center and provide the details of the referral to the clerks at the registration desk, who will then provide you with the nearest appointment date for consultation with a Child Development Center physician.

    If the referral is electronic then you will receive a text message to confirm the appointment details.

  4. How long will the visit take?
    It depends whether this is your first appointment or a follow up appointment usually first appointment takes longer up to one hour is some occasions.

    For other services and programs the appointment will take longer time because you will be seen by different professionals, however you will be provided with a clear appointment schedule for each service. 

  5. Who do I contact for clarification/ queries regarding an existing appointment at the Child Development Center?

  6. What are the ages served in the Child Development and Rehabilitation services?
    We serve children from birth through 14 years of age.

  7. What are the hours of operation?
    The outpatient services and programs operates from 7am to 3pm.

  8.  Do you accept infants and toddlers?
    Yes, we do accept infants and toddlers , we serve children from birth through 14 years of age

  9.  Do you have flexible schedules?
    At the moment we operates on one shift 7am to 3pm however we are doing our best to meet the family preference in term of schedule during this shift.

  10.  What is the registration process?
    Once a referral is generated to our services, it will be in a queue for appointment, regular triage takes place to identify needs and priority appointment. You will receive a text message on your mobile with the appointment confirmation and details. 

    On the day of appointment you will be checked in for the clinic appointment , the registration staff will confirm some information from you and ask you to wait to be called for a nurse assessment ahead of you doctor appointment

  11.  How do you check on my referral status?
    To check on your referral status you can call our registration office on 4439 7061

  12. Do you provide transportation to and from the center?
    No, we are unable provide transportation services to and from the center.

  13. Do you provide parking space for patient and family in or near the center?
    At the CDC there are several designated parking spots for people with special needs as well as spaces for patients and visitors. There are also other parking spaces next to the nearby Rumailah Hospital.

  14.  Where can I get more information about my child’s condition?
    We have included some useful information about  the most common conditions on this website, if it doesn’t meet your needs please contact you physician or treating therapists they will provide you with more information and useful links.

  15. Can I bring along a relative / friend along to my child’s appointment?
    Yes, as a parent, you can bring along a relative or a friend for your child’s appointment.

  16.  How does my doctor make referrals to required departments for my child?
    Referrals are generated electronically by the physician to the required departments. Once the referral is received by the referred department, the family will be contacted over telephone from the registration desk of the referred department for providing you with the date and time of appointment for your child in that department.

  17. How do I prepare for my child’s diagnostic examination or treatment procedure?
    If your consulting physician recommends a diagnostic examination or a treatment procedure for your child, the requirements of the procedure/ examination will be explained to you in detail by your physician.

    To provide you with the best and safest care possible to ensure optimal results, special preparation may be required for some procedures. The amount and type of preparation needed may vary depending on whether the procedure is a diagnostic examination or a treatment procedure.
